Blizzcon 2017 dominated the discussion on this episode of Transition, Gadgets 360’s gaming and pop culture podcast. Podcast regulars Rishi Alwani and Mikhail Madnani join host Pranay Parab to talk about Blizzard’s fantastic event, Call of Duty: World War II, Xbox One X, and Need for Speed Payback.
We start this episode by talking about everything that went down at Blizzcon 2017. Rishi attended the event, so he had a lot to say about all the announcements Blizzard made. This begins with Overwatch, itsnew game modes, Moira, the new character, the new hybrid map, and Overwatch’s eSports potential. Mikhail then talks about the changes to Hearthstone, before Rishi takes over to speak aboutStarcraft 2 going free to play, and World of Warcraft and its loyal community.
We then discuss Call of Duty: World War II and that’s where we talk about whether the game is worth buying. Then we discuss its single-player campaign, pricing, the online player experience, and Activision’s strange game design choices.
Next up on our topic list is Xbox One X, which has frankly massive download sizes for most games. Mikhail then talks about what could possible be the worst gaming console launch title ever. We mention what potential buyers need to watch out for, and if 4K is a good enough reason to buy the Xbox One X.
Finally, we talk about Need for Speed Payback, which includes comments on the state of the game, story mode, flaws and dealbreakers, comparison with Forza Horizon 3, and the EA game’s visuals and aesthetics. Then we conclude the podcast by talking about the games we’ve been playing this week, such as Need for Speed Payback, Call of Duty: World War II, and Super Mario Odyssey.
